We have a very short window in which to get 400+ qualified signatures of Voting Members of the NRA on each of over a dozen candidate petitions.
We were disappointed that the NRA Nominating Committee blocked most of the reform candidates from nomination, so now the only way to get them on the ballot is via the petition process, but petitions must be received by NRA from the candidates by October 8, or they will be ruled invalid.
That doesn’t give us much time, especially once you take into account the time it takes to mail signed petitions to the candidates, get NRA Member Numbers verified, and mail them on to NRA HQ.
We urge every qualified NRA voter (Life Members and those members with 5+ years of uninterrupted Annual membership) to print and sign the petitions as soon as possible, and get them in the mail, either to the individual candidates directly, or to our central clearing house, care of Rocky Marshall, where they’ll be collated for the various candidates and mailed to them.
If you can get additional qualified signatures, by all means do so, but don’t delay. It’s much better to have one signature received in time, than to have a dozen signatures arrive a day too late.
Rather than reinvent the wheel, here is a link to our friend John Richardson’s excellent blog, where he has posted bios and petitions for all of the reform candidates:
Click on the link, then click on each candidate’s name to access their bio’s and petitions.
Or click on this link to download all of the petitions:
You can mail each petition directly to each candidate or mail them all to: Rocky Marshall at Frontier Truck Gear, PO Box 277, Center Point, TX 78010
You might notice a few names of current or past directors who have been at odds with reform in the past, but these are folks who have seen the light and are walking the talk. We might not endorse all of them for election, but we do want them all on the ballot so we have the best chance of getting the most pro-reform candidates elected we possibly can.
Don’t delay. Print, sign, and mail the petitions as soon as possible.
Thanks.
